What is the difference between Landscape Soil and Topsoil? Topsoil<\/strong> is raw earth (usually stripped from the top layer of land). It often needs fertilizer added. Landscape Soil<\/strong> is Topsoil plus Compost mixed together. It is richer and ready for planting immediately.
\nCan I use this for pots?<\/strong> Yes, for large outdoor planters, it is excellent and much cheaper than bagged potting soil. For very small indoor pots, you might prefer a sterilized bag mix, but for bulk outdoor use, this is the standard choice.
\nDo I need to add fertilizer?<\/strong> The compost in the mix provides a great starter feed. However, for heavy feeders (like vegetables), we always recommend adding a bit of extra Chicken Manure<\/strong> or fertilizer as the plants grow.<\/p>\n
