Why You Need Potting Soil (Not Garden Soil):

Perfect Drainage: Ordinary garden soil turns to mud and hardens like concrete in a pot, suffocating roots. Our mix stays loose and airy, allowing excess water to drain away freely.
Root Health: It is lighter and fluffier than topsoil, allowing delicate roots to spread easily without struggle.
Moisture Control: While it drains well, the organic components hold just enough moisture to keep the plant hydrated between waterings.

Best Applications:

Patio Pots: Ideal for roses, herbs, and decorative shrubs on your balcony or patio.
Indoor Plants: Clean and suitable for indoor use (Ficus, Delicious Monsters, etc.).
Hanging Baskets: Lighter than normal soil, reducing the weight on your hooks.

Common Questions:

Can I just use Topsoil in my pots? No, please don’t! Topsoil is too heavy for pots. Every time you water a pot filled with topsoil, it compacts down until it becomes a solid brick that water cannot pass through. Your plants will likely die of “wet feet” (root rot). You must use Potting Soil for containers.
Does this soil have fertilizer? Yes, it typically contains a “starter” organic feed. However, because pots are small environments, nutrients wash out over time. We recommend adding a liquid fertilizer or slow-release pellets after 3-4 months.
Is this different from “Garden Mix” or “Landscape Soil”? Yes. Landscape Soil is for large, open raised beds (connected to the earth). Potting Soil is a more refined, sterile, and airy mix specifically for closed containers.
