Concrete Stone 6.5mm (commonly called “Crusher Grit”) is the bridge between River Sand and 13mm Stone. It is a very small, crushed blue stone that allows for an incredibly smooth finish and high strength in thin concrete applications.

Why Choose 6.5mm Stone?

Pre-Cast Concrete: If you are casting garden ornaments, flower pots, or paving bricks, 19mm stone is too big and will create “honeycombing.” 6.5mm stone fills the mold perfectly for a smooth surface.

Common Questions:

Is this the same as River Sand? No. River sand is fine grains. 6.5mm Stone is actual small chips of rock. It is much coarser than sand but smaller than gravel.
Can I use this for a driveway surface? You can, but it is very fine. It might track into your house in the treads of your shoes. We usually recommend 13mm Stone for loose driveways.
Is this good for succulents? Yes! It is excellent. Succulents hate “wet feet.” Mixing this grit into your soil ensures water runs through quickly, preventing root rot.
